- Plaintiff claims her freedom on that grounds that it was a condition of her sale from Malocher to her late owner Madam Batifol that she should be emancipated after Madam Batifol's death. The defendant was the daughter of Madam Batifol, and claimed that the sale of the slave to her mother was fraudulent and stimulated. Judgement affirmed for the defendant.
