- Redhibitory action. The plaintiff, Aze¿¿lie Zeringue (the widow of J Lombard), had bought a slave, Joe, from the defendant, represented as "a good axeman"; the plaintiff charged that in fact he was "feeble in body, and somewhat idiotic". The sale was annulled and judgment rendered for the plaintiff.
