- The plaintiffs sought a recission of the sale and return of a promissory note given to the defendant to purchase a slave called Kit. They alleged that shortly after the sale they discovered that Kit was addicted to drunkeness. The case includes a comparison between vices of the body and vices of character in slaves. Judgment was made in favour of the defendant.
