- Summary
- Will of Jeremiah Warren giving his executors his slaves and money to support them; he wished that they might be freed if possible. The slave Mat was bequeathed to Jesse T Warren, but was not to come into his possession until he reached 21 years of age. The dispute with the executors centred around the money made from the hiring out of Mat before he came in to possession of the slave. The judgment of the lower court was affirmed. Relevant hire fees were to be paid to the complainant.
