- Summary
- An apparatus is described that is intended for electrical analog simulation of the thermal behavior of structures in contact with fluid flows, either when the structure is heat generating or not (for instance fuel elements of heterogeneous reactors, heat exchangers, and etc.). The apparatus is based on a ten channel--ten position commutator, driven by a servomechanism and rotating at a speed proportional to the fluid flow, a series of passive networks, and suitable electronic elements (current generators and isolating amplifiers). It allows an accurate simulation of the phenomena in a simple and relatively cheap way. (auth)
