- Summary
- The study shows that "L" Nickel is subject to corrosive attack under fluorinator conditions at 500 deg C. This attack is primarily intergranular with maximum metal loss taking place at the interface between liquid and vapor. On a weight loss basis, the calculated corrosion rate is similar to that for HyMu80 but less than that for lNOR 8. Of the three candidate materials examined so far; INOR 8, HyMu80, and "L'' Nickel, the HyMu80 appears to be superior. (P.C.H.)
