A STUDY OF THE EFFECTS OF X-IRRADIATION OF EXCLUSIVELY THE CIRCULATING BLOOD ON THE ANTIBODY PRODUCING MECHANISM OF THE RABBIT. Final Report, October 1, 1959-September 30, 1962
The effects of irradiation of exteriorized circulating blood on the formed elements and serum proteins were studied in rabbits. The indirect effects of extracorporeal irradiation on thc histological picture of the spleen and lymph nodes as correlated with precipitin production were analyzed in rabbits. The technique used for irradiating the circulating blood and methods used for quantifying the absorbed dosage under these experimental conditions are described. (C.H.)
