- Summary
- A summary of the ISABELLE Ring Structure is presented. A phased approach to ISA operation is detailed. The initial performance potential indicates that p-p collisions at a wide range of energies and unequal energies in the two beams will be possible. The quasi 8-fold periodicity could be broken to allow a hi-luminosity set-up, which could be achieved by small changes in the insertion quadrupole strengths. A discussion is given of future ISA phases requiring the alteration of the physical layout of the insertions for various special experimental conditions. (auth)
