- Summary
- In order to determine the average heat transfer coefficient in a plate- type subassembly by the method of cyclic temperature variations, an analytical solution for the heat transfer between the plates and the fluid is required. In applying the method to plates of prototype thicknesses, composed of materials such as zirconium, a need arises for an analytical solution for the case of finite thermal conductivity in the plates normal to the flow. Such a solution has been worked out and is presented. (auth)
