- Interview with Maggie Berne. Maggie began working with Amnesty International in October 1971 until 1988. She worked with various research teams, after writing in and asking if any jobs were available. She also worked as a secretary to 3 or 4 regions, mainly Latin America. She travelled to the USA and Canada in the late 1970s, where she did a lot of work related to Amnesty in America. In 1984 she became head of campaign and membership department, focusing mainly on torture and the death penalty.
