Summary:

Focuses on the struggle between agribusiness and the small family farmer over California's Central Valley, which, because of a federal irrigation program called Westlands, contains some of the richest farmland in the world. Interviews with people on both sides of the conflict raise important questions about control of land and food production in the United States.
