- Free speech debate defence demonstration in Trafalgar Square leads to riot in Whitehall". HAS very dense crowds. Some banners visible. A procession, mainly men, slowly pushes its way through the crowds lined by policemen. Crowds at the foot of Nelson's column. One man is speaking to the crowd, reading from a piece of paper (149). HAS dense crowds, many people raising their hats (mainly straw boaters) and waving them. Dense crowds, but the hat waving has stopped. Different HAS of crowd; the speakers are just visible at the foot of the column on the right. The crowds beginning to disperse, looking down Whitehall ; one man carries a furled banner; a motor bus passes through the crowd. This event followed directly on from the free speech demonstration.
