- Summary
- Data are reviewed from past and ongoing research in the United States concerned with the biological effects of static and low-frequency electromagnetic fields produced by power transmission systems and low-frequency communication systems. The fields produced by these systems, particularly by the power transmission systems, are the highest 60-Hz fields to which people and other life forms may be exposed. 99 references.
