- Summary
- Contrasts actual civil defense education films of the 1950s with film clips of the atomic devastation of Japan to show how naive the Americans of the 1950s were in believing the United States government's claims that protection against an atomic attack was as simple as hiding beneath a school desk. Actor Martin Sheen re-creates the feelings of a cold-war child and berates the government for minimizing the American people's awareness of the horrors of atomic warfare.
