A mathematical model relating spark-gap breakdown parameters is generated to provide an insight to their effects on the gap trigger. An example of the model's employment to obtain breakdown parameters for a typical gap is presented. The equations and computer program providing these solutions are made available. While this report describes the employment of the model in the analysis of a spark gap, the model may be employed with any three-element electrical device where the effect of breakdowns between two of the elements on the third element is desired.
