Some sheets include inset maps showing boundaries, relative reliability, indexes to adjoining sheets and location, pronunciation, transcription and transliteration guides; and explanatory notes. Some sheets have military grid or another type of location reference system, some show aeronautical information, some indicate change in magnetic declination, some have isogonic lines.
Some sheets indicate explorers' routes.
