Summary
Several experiments have been done during the period covered by this report. These experiments fall in the categories of both linear and nonlinear ion acoustic waves, pseudowaves, and plasma diagnostics. In addition, two new plasma facilities are being planned, with the construction of one being well underway. Although the experiments fall predominantiy in the linear regime, the results obtained have strong implications for understanding the low-frequency behavior of hot, dense, turbulent, Vlasov plasmas in which strong density gradients, large-amplitude AC electric fields, and coherert particle motion predominate.
