Summary

Chlorella pyrenoidosa was grown in steady state continuos culture. Algal growth was never limited by CO₂ , minerals, pH, or temperature. The effects of the two remaining independent variables, specific growth rate and incident light intensity, on algal biomass productivity and algal physiology were examined.
