- This report covers work accomplished under DOE Contract No. DE-AC01-82FE60148 during the period March 1 through March 31, 1983. The report presents a detailed discussion of chemical kinetic processes, a mathematical model describing these chemical kinetics and experimental data in support of the model. The chemical kinetic constants obtained from experimental data are provided including rate constants as a function of temperature, activation energy, and Arrhenius' constant. A discussion of the factors which contribute to the sorbent's attrition properties are presented and data in support of the theory are presented. This report is the fifth in a series of nine monthly progress reports required under terms of this contract. 7 references, 12 figures, 5 tables.
