Water table wells were installed in and around the Saltstone Disposal Site (Z-area) to determine the depth to water at a number of locations in the vicinity of the area. Based on rainfall data from 1854 to the present, the minimum depth to the water table should have occurred in 1965, and in that year the water table within the site should have ranged from 44 to 55 feet below ground surface. 6 figures, 1 table.
