Summary
Having a corrupted system disk can be a scarey thing. This paper will describe the somewhat humorous events leading up to the destruction of the file structure on the only good copy of our VMS system disk. This disk unfortunately also contained all of the user files. The method used for file recovery will be detailed. Copies of the programs developed to recover the files will be available. Other recovery programs will also be noted.
