Summary
This addendum reports the results of the stable isotope analysis of carbonates and silicates. Carbonates and quartz isotope samples were studied from the Lower Ordovician Ellenburger Group in the deep Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico. Additional samples of saddle dolomite were collected from New York (Lockport Formation, Middle Silurian), Anadarko Basin (Hunton Group, Upper Ordovician to Lower Devonian) and Arkansas (Boone Formation, Mississippian). A total of 77 samples were analyzed and their mean values and ranges of carbon and oxygen isotopes are presented in Table A-1 and plotted in Figures A-1 to A-4. Samples were classified as very coarse-crystalline precipitated dolomite (saddle dolomite), medium-to-coarse-crystalline dolomite, fine-crystalline dolomite, calcite cements and authigenic quartz. 3 refs., 4 figs., 1 tab.
