Summary
A major remote sensing program of the Department of Energy (DOE) is described and examples of processed data are presented. The program is termed Comprehensive Integrated Remote Sensing, or CIRS, and involves equipment and personnel of the DOE Remote Sensing Laboratory. Data is being collected to support environmental and emergency response functions for large DOE sites. Integration of the data is being enhanced by implementation of a geographic information system. 12 refs., 4 figs.
