Learn about time series plots with fitted lines in Stata with data from the NOAA Global Climate at a Glance (1910-2015) / Abigail-Kate Reid, Nick Allum, The Odum Institute
This dataset is designed to teach how to plot a time series for a single variable and fit both a straight line and a nonlinear curve to the data. The dataset is a subset of data derived from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate at a Glance website, and the example explores the average land temperatures in Europe measured annually from 1910 to 2015. The dataset file is accompanied by a Teaching Guide, a Student Guide, and a How-to Guide for Stata. The Student Guide and data curation was done by the Odum Institute; the How-to Guide was coauthored by Abigail-Kate Reid and Nick Allum.
