Jenna was new to Canada and had been a professor at a Canadian college for a short time before she encountered a major conflict. In the fifth week of the spring semester, a member of her class began acting disrespectfully. Jenna's distress grew as the class followed the student's lead and became disrespectful and hostile. Jenna was out of her depth and unable to re-establish class decorum. She knew she needed help but did not know who to ask or what to ask for.
