Presents the total number of projects submitted for public assistance funding. Presents information concerning FEMA-provided disaster relief and assistance funding across national, state, and county levels in the US and its territories. The dataset features the total costs of projects, the federal funding amounts available to the projects, the total federal funding amounts allocated to the projects, the number of projects, as well as number of applicants regardless of funding results, all of which are further filterable by: year, which is based on the date in which a disaster was declared; incident type (e.g., earthquake, tsunami); project type, which is based on the damage category that indicates eligibility for particular funding via grants and reimbursements; project size, which can either be large, small, or unknown; and disaster number (unique identifiers attached to events eventually declared as disasters) coupled with their corresponding disaster declaration names to provide additional context behind the numbers. The data is updated daily, with data fed directly from the National Emergency Management Information System (NEMIS).
