- Biographical or Historical Sketch
- Hans H. Neuberger was born in Mannheim, Germany, February 17, 1910. He received his undergraduate degree from the University Heidelberg and doctorate from the University of Hamburg in 1936. Hans H. Neuberger immigrated to the United States in 1937 to join the faculty at Pennsylvania State College as an instructor in geophysics. In 1943, he was appointed associate professor of meteorology and attained full professorship in 1948. Neuberger was professor and chairman of the Department of Meteorology until his retirement in 1970. After his retirement from Pennsylvania State University, he moved to Sun City Center, Florida, and joined the faculty of the University of South Florida, teaching courses in meteorology before retiring as professor emeritus. Hans Neuberger died on January 13, 1996, at the age of 85.
