- Summary
- This collection consists of a scrapbook created by John Mullen to document his time as a Penn State student. There are photographs of campus sites, such as the University Club, Main Gate, Zoology Lab, the new college barn, and the Open-Air Theatre. There are also photographs of other places Mullen visited, such as Niagara, New York, Erie, Pennsylvania, and Lake Ontario. There are photographs of student activities, such as cadet regiments on Pennsylvania Day, the Flagpole Class Scrap, Molasses Feed, football players and games, track meets, lacrosse games, Glee Club, wrestlers, and farming. In addition to the photographs, there is a Delta Delta annual letter, and a 1917 commencement program.

- Biographical or Historical Sketch
- John Mullen, Jr., of Shamokin, Pennsylvania, graduated from Penn State in 1917 with a degree in horticulture. He was a member of Sigma Nu, the manager of the class baseball team his junior year, on the 1917 editorial staff of La Vie yearbook, and a member of the Senior Dance Committee.
