- Biographical or Historical Sketch
- This skilled craft union formalized as the Glass Bottle Blowers' Association in 1895, affiliating with the American Federation of Labor in 1899. In 1906 it won in a recruitment rivalry with the American Flint Glass Workers' Union (AFGWU) and after numerous mergers, it became the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers International Union in 1988.
