In November 2009, Google introduced a free search for legal opinions and journals through its Google Scholar search engine. Included are full text legal opinions from U.S. federal and state District, Appellate and Supreme courts. Cases can be searched by name, topic (e.g., desegregation) or phrase (e.g., separate but equal). Cited cases and citing journal articles are clickable links (if they are included in the database). There is also a ?how cited? function that provides links from each case to other citing and related cases.
