Summary
Birth and baptismal certificate for Maria Burrhhenn, daughter of Peter Burrhenn and Elizabeth Behle Burrhenn, born 21 September 1858 in Archbald, Pennsylvania; grandmother Elizabeth Behle served as witness. No date is given for the baptism. The certificate was printed by Schæfer & Koradi, circa 1872, and includes a historiated border featuring scenes from the New Testament, notably John baptizing Jesus Christ at the top and Christ teaching to a small crowd, including children, at the bottom. The decorations are printed in gold; both the printed certificate and the handwritten data use Fraktur characters.
