To all people. : Whereas the legislature of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, by a resolve passed the 7th of February, 1798, granted and confirmed to John Bridgham and other persons ... a certain tract of land lying in Poland, in the county of Cumberland, containing about eighteen thousand acres, including ponds, to be held by them in fee as tenants in common; on condition that they shall grant and confirm to each person named as a settler ... the quantity of land affixed to his or their names respectively. For which purpose said proprietors ... are by said resolve incorporated into a body politic. And we [blank] being appointed a committee of the said corporation, and impowered ... to make, execute and acknowledge good and sufficient deed, thereby conveying in fee simple to each person named as a settler ...
