The collection includes 58 large broadsides, most of which advertise horse and livestock sales and include an engraved image of a horse. Two announce the sale of a complete farm and an entire estate, others itemize the sale of chickens, horses, cows, hogs, pigs, ewes, and sheep, farm equipment, including corn planters, drills, mowers, and land rollers, as well as other items, such as furnishings, land, houses, stables, household and store goods. It also includes 68 small broadsides which announce public sales, sheriff's sales, benefits, community socials, real estate sales, business liquidations, games, lectures, musical concerts, and administrator's sales throughout Centre County.
