- Biographical or Historical Sketch
- Arthur Efland received his doctorate in 1965 from Stanford University and taught at Fresno Stae College from 1964-1965. Efland then began teaching at The Ohio State University in 1965, where he was a professor for art education until his retirement in 2009. During his career he authored the elementary and secondary guidelines in art education for the state of Ohio, and was recognized for his contributions with an award of excellence from the National Art Education Association in 1982.
