- The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) has, since 2002, been implementing a project to assess the impact and success of weapons collection programs in exchange for community-based development projects. This report presents results from the UNIDIR case study undertaken in Cambodia in March-April 2004, looking at project design and implementation in accordance with the needs of communities in three regions of Cambodia, in exchange for the voluntary surrender of small arms--Preface.
